The Hamilton County Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency will conduct the monthly test of the outdoor warning sirens on December 6, 2017 at 12:00pm. As a reminder, the outdoor warning sirens in Hamilton County are tested the first Wednesday of each month at noon unless inclement weather is imminent. There are four basic criteria to activate the sirens:
-
The National Weather Service issues a Tornado Warning for all or part of Hamilton County,
-
A trained and certified weather spotter reports a tornado;
-
A tornado is reported by a local public safety official; or
-
A dangerous situation occurs which requires citizens to seek shelter immediately.

BE SEEN!
The sun doesn't rise until nearly 8 a.m. and sets just a little after 5:30 p.m. Many people are running, walking, or taking their dogs out after 5:30 p.m. and before 8 a.m. Use a light! Drivers can't see you. It's still dark when our high schoolers are driving to school! Use a light! A quick search of Amazon yielded hundreds of lights for you and your dog. Get a light for you and your furry friend so you can be seen!

TRY the TRI will be held this Sunday, August 12th from 7a.m. to 11a.m. Elm will be closed from Wooster Pike to Princeton for the duration of the race. For residents on affected streets (Elm Court, Elm Lane, Robinwood and Circus Place), volunteers will be there to assist you with safe passage to Wooster. No other streets will be closed; however, there will be a portion of the course that comes through the heart of the neighborhood. Volunteers will be out helping to direct traffic and keep racers safe. If a volunteer asks you to stop for a brief moment to allow racers to come through please allow them to do so. Our primary concern is the safety of participants and the organizers are making every effort to have as little impact on traffic and to cause the least inconvenience to residents as possible.
